We promote BODYReDESIGN not as a diet, but a lifestyle program.
Wanna know why? Intuitive eating.
The 5 rules of BODYReDESIGN are simple to follow.
6 days per week you get to eat as much as you want of protein & vegetables.
It allows you to eat as much as needed when needed and still have one free day to enjoy whatever foods you wish, in the amounts you wish.
How does this help intuitive eating?
If it isn’t your free day and you feel hungry you can have as much protein and veggies as you want. You can also have one serving of fruit, dairy, and carbs.
So what happens when you’re hungry? Maybe you want a sandwich. Maybe you want to snack on some tortilla chips and salsa.
You don’t have the opportunity to eat what you “think” you want to eat. Instead, you get to eat what your body “needs”.
And if your body isn’t hungry? Well, nothing that is on the menu in this plan will actually sound good to you, so have a glass of water and take a walk.
“Diets” are designed to do one thing: help “control” eating habits.
But really, eating habits don’t need to be controlled; rather, intuitive eating needs to be engaged.
When you follow the 5 Seriously Simple guidelines of BODYReDESIGN you are incorporating intuitive eating. You’re following the guidelines, and you don’t need to limit calories or intake. You get to eat as much of of protein, veggies, and legumes as you need to. And when you’re following this protocol, it becomes very difficult to overeat.
People don’t get fat by eating too many vegetables and protien.
People don’t get fat by eating one piece of fruit, 1/2 cup of dairy and complex carbs daily.
People get fat by eating processed foods.
People get fat by eating too much sugar.
I dare you to eat too much spinach, chicken breast, or eggs.
You’ll stop when you’re full.
So why don’t you stop when you’re eating french fries, shakes, or cheeseburgers?
When you keep eating past your full point, that’s the salt/sugar taste buds wanting more. It is the ‘give it to me now’ response that alcoholics and addicts feel when they’ve overused their ‘stop’ point and essentially broken it.
But your intuitive eating isn’t broken. You can take yourself to the ‘shop’ and rebuild your healthy eating. The only way to counteract these eating habits is to enlist intuitive eating.
It starts with 6 days per week of mindful eating.
Mindful eating begins when you follow a set program like BODYReDESIGN that doesn’t require you to count calories. A program that actually asks you to be conscious of what kinds of food you’re consuming on a daily basis.
It’s not the quantity of calories that matters. It’s the quality of those calories.
So, what are you eating?
How do you live intuitive eating? I’d love to know!
